Investment Day on the Hill
Building on years of successful collaboration, Hotels Canada and TIAC came together for Tourism Hill Days to demonstrate the power of a united tourism sector and advance shared priorities with federal decision-makers.
On October 7, Hotels Canada and TIAC co-hosted an Advocacy Forum featuring federal policymakers. Discussions focused on aligning tourism priorities with the federal government’s agenda, strengthening tourism’s perception as an export sector, and identifying opportunities to support long-term growth in Canada’s visitor economy.
On October 8, Hotels Canada hosted its Hotel Investment Day on the Hill, strategically focusing on investment competitiveness to advance recommendations aligned with the government’s economic agenda. Hotel investors and leaders participated in targeted meetings with representatives from the Office of Minister Champagne (Finance), senior officials at the Department of Finance, the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, Parliamentary Secretary Marie-Gabrielle Ménard, MP Helena Konanz, MP Will Greaves, MP William Stevenson, MP Tamara Jansen, and the Chief of Staff to MP Greg McLean.
Thank you to our sponsor, STR CoStar, for helping make the event a success.
