Liberal Government Elected

Hotel Association of Canada Congratulates Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Liberal Party of Canada on its Federal Election Victory

On April 28, 2025, Canadians cast their ballots and elected Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberal Party of Canada to form the next federal government.

“We congratulate Prime Minister Carney and the Liberal Party on their historic election win,” said Beth McMahon, President & CEO. “The Hotel Association of Canada looks forward to working with the new government and all parties to build a strong economy and thriving travel and tourism sector that propels the hotel industry’s growth and drives prosperity in communities across Canada.”

The Canadian hotel industry is an economic powerhouse that supports more than 160,000 jobs and contributes $18 billion in economic activity each year. As economic anchors in communities of all sizes, hotels play a vital role in driving local investment, creating jobs, and supporting small businesses in every riding.

The Hotel Association of Canada welcomes the opportunity to advance policies with all Parliamentarians that support sustainable economic growth and enable the industry’s long-term growth potential.
