Hotel Association Of Canada Announces Resignation Of President & CEO, Susie Grynol
The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) today announced the resignation of Susie Grynol from her position as President & CEO, effective June 3rd, 2024.
During her 7.5 year tenure as President & CEO, Grynol spearheaded a remarkable turnaround strategy for the Association, boosting membership by 3,000% and elevating the Association’s presence and impact on the Hill.
Susie’s leadership and deep commitment to the industry during the COVID-19 pandemic was monumental. As the founder of the Coalition of Hardest Hit Businesses, she led a group of more than 200 business associations through a series of government and public relations campaigns, which resulted in $23 billion in relief for hotels and tourism businesses.
Grynol expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to lead HAC, saying, “It has been the honour of my lifetime to serve as President & CEO of the Hotel Association of Canada. I am immensely proud of the accomplishments we have achieved together and grateful for the unwavering support of our members, board, staff, and partners.”
The Board of Directors and the entire team at HAC extend their deepest gratitude to Susie for her extraordinary achievements and wish her continued success in the next exciting phase of her career as Market Vice-President with Marriott International.
HAC will launch a comprehensive search for a new President & CEO to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and success. In the interim, the Board will work closely with the leadership team to ensure a seamless transition and sustained momentum.
