Government Eases COVID-19 Border Testing Measures

Today, Honourable Ministers Jean Yves-Duclos, Omar Alghabra, and Randy Boissonnault announced that the federal government will be lifting the pre-arrival COVID-19 testing requirement at the border for vaccinated travellers with at least two doses.

As of April 1, travellers entering Canada will not have to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test, though random PCR testing at the airport will remain in place for surveillance purposes. However, travellers selected for random PCR testing will not be required to isolate while they wait for their results. The ArriveCan app will be used for verification purposes.
